Long time no talk! If you were wondering what I’ve been up to lately, you should know that I spent my January getting settled into my new internship. I must say, it’s going great. I am learning so much about different aspects of the social work profession. I love my new co-workers/mentors. I knew we were meant to be when I found out that they love Mexican food and Britney Spears as much as I do. Other than successfully juggling internship, class and work, there is something I’ve been doing not so gracefully. Confession: I’ve been slipping, sliding, and falling all over the icy sidewalks and parking lots lately.
Y’all, I have a serious bone to pick with this winter weather. I love snow more than anyone I know, I honestly have a deep desire to ditch the plains and move to the mountains. But, my “Gilbert Grace” as some like to call it, is not agreeing with this recent wintery precipitation we’ve received. Seriously, this weather may appear innocent, but it has NOT been nice to me. Since we have had almost a week straight of snow on the ground, which is almost unheard of around here, I thought this cozy ice blue BCBG sweater was the perfect match. I wanted to post a warm and relaxed look, done two different ways. This is the exact same sweater and pair of jeans, just paired with different accessories. I literally sported this outfit, done two different ways, in the same day. Mom and I were going shopping, so I opted to pair my super casual outfit with flats and a statement necklace. Later that evening, Billy and I hit up a movie, so I wanted shoes that would be extra cozy (because we all know how frigid movie theaters tend to be) and a gray beanie. You seriously can’t go wrong with either of these looks on a blue winter day. Here is the first!
