Pink Free People Sweater

Pumpkin season is quickly coming to an end. It feels like it just started. So sad! One thing that is always on my bucket list for fall is a trip to the pumpkin patch. This year we went to Bakers Acres in Tishomingo. It’s great for kiddos but also makes for a perfect date night! Outfit details linked below.

When we travel to Tish, we usually detour through one of the nearby towns for lunch or dinner. This trip we decided to stop at The Rusty Nail Winery in Sulphur, OK. They have delicious wine and great appetizers. Definitely a must if you’re traveling through Southern OK!

Topshop Look Alike

I’m one of those girls who go crazy for the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale every year. I literally purchase my whole fall wardrobe in just a few days. This Topshop sweater instantly caught my eye. But, apparently it caught everyone’s eye because it sold out super fast. Since then I’ve watched it come in and out of stock. Mostly, out of stock. I’ve finally found one that’s super similar and have linked it below!

Mix Print Kimono

Hey guys! I found the best kimono and wanted to share it with you! I love the print and colors. It’s perfectly flowy. Below I paired it with shorts (because it’s blazing hot here in OKC). But, I think it would also be really cute with distressed jeans or white jeans. I also linked a dupe for this Rebecca Minkoff handbag, it’s less than $30!

Embroidered Dress and Teacher Plan

Happy Monday! I wanted to fill you all in on something going on in my professional life! Recently I accepted an offer to participate in what my department is calling a “Teacher Plan”. Our hospital’s census typically dips pretty low in the summer, so you have all of these full-time employees with not much work to do (this is tricky because sometimes you can have a small amount of patients, but they have complex and numerous needs). But the thought behind it is, to help with productivity issues, one employee will be off 8 weeks during the summer, returning September 11th. I eagerly volunteered! I keep my title, position, benefits, etc., but I get some much needed time away from work. Being a social worker is so emotionally rewarding but also extremely exhausting. I thought this teacher plan would be the perfect way to practice some self-care. I’m so excited to have some time off. Once upon a time I considered becoming a teacher (not because I have a passion for teaching) but just so I could get the summer off. Lol. I plan to relax, take a couple of trips, and become more diligent in posting on my blog and Instagram. I can’t wait to see what this little break from work has in store! I’ll keep you guys posted!

Also, I’m sharing this dress below! I bought mine at Cayman’s in Norman, OK. But it’s also available online.

Pom Pom off-shoulder

Happy taco Tuesday, friends! The work week is dragging by so I wanted to post something that brings a smile to my face. Nothing says happiness like going pom lol crazy. My love for pom poms is still raging on. I keep thinking it will die down eventually, but no such luck, yet. So, for now I’m just going to keep on keepin’ on! Outfit details linked below. Spring Favorites

Untitled #6

Hey loves! I hope you all are enjoying March and this beautiful weather! I’m so excited for some patio time. I think hanging out on patios might be my favorite spring time activity! March is turning out to be pretty fun/busy so far. Last weekend we traveled home for the annual Johnston County Livestock show. I got to spend some quality time with my family and my favorite Southern OK boutique. This weekend we have pictures coming up with Ashley Lewis Photography, I’m so excited to get some new pictures with Billy, he’s not always the most willing to participate in photos. I went to college with Ashley and now we work at the same hospital. I love her work and I’m eager to work with her, she is one of the nicest, most genuine people I’ve met. I’m currently trying to decide what to wear for pictures so I took to Polyvore to gain some inspiration. I’ve been loving off the shoulder tops for a while now. This blue one is so pretty, I’m dying for these ruffles.  You guys already know how I feel about pom poms and tassels so these accessories should be no surprise to you.
