Embroidered Dress and Teacher Plan

Happy Monday! I wanted to fill you all in on something going on in my professional life! Recently I accepted an offer to participate in what my department is calling a “Teacher Plan”. Our hospital’s census typically dips pretty low in the summer, so you have all of these full-time employees with not much work to do (this is tricky because sometimes you can have a small amount of patients, but they have complex and numerous needs). But the thought behind it is, to help with productivity issues, one employee will be off 8 weeks during the summer, returning September 11th. I eagerly volunteered! I keep my title, position, benefits, etc., but I get some much needed time away from work. Being a social worker is so emotionally rewarding but also extremely exhausting. I thought this teacher plan would be the perfect way to practice some self-care. I’m so excited to have some time off. Once upon a time I considered becoming a teacher (not because I have a passion for teaching) but just so I could get the summer off. Lol. I plan to relax, take a couple of trips, and become more diligent in posting on my blog and Instagram. I can’t wait to see what this little break from work has in store! I’ll keep you guys posted!

Also, I’m sharing this dress below! I bought mine at Cayman’s in Norman, OK. But it’s also available online.

I wanted to share this little blue and white stripe dress with you all. Once upon a time in the little town of Tish I was getting a massage at Spa 211, afterwords I was feeling rejuvenated and ready for some shopping. I headed next door to The Leopard Vine and this little beauty instantly caught my eye. If you’re ever in southern OK you should check it out. If not, they have an online shop and you can shop this dress directly. It’s under $39!

Plaid Poncho

The weather we’ve had the past few days has been gorgeous. I’ve been disappointed in our lack of fall-like weather lately. So, this weekend was literally a breath of fresh air. I was more than happy to break out one of my favorite fall staples, the poncho! If you haven’t jumped on the poncho trend, now is the time to do it. They are everywhere and they’re super inexpensive.   This one is from Old Navy. It says it’s sold out online today, but I just saw it in-store a few days ago. I have linked a similar one, it’s the same style and price, just a different color.
